"Well, for starters, Josette is very loyal. It's her middle name. Not really, her middle name is Abigail. But you get what I'm trying to say, right? When you tell her a secret, she will always keep it. And I mean always. She won't tell a soul. Also, when she gets close to someone, she really gets attached. When she truly trusts someone, it pretty much stays that way unless they do something really bad. She wouldn't ever ditch a friend for someone else, unless it's for something of extreme importance. Josey is also very understanding. If someone ditches her for something that's really important, she'll more than likely understand completely, because she's been in the situation several times before.
Josey is pretty smart, but she also has her moments when she's a little bit slow. She was an honor roll student in high school, all four years, except for one semester in freshman year when she got a 'C'. But other than that, all A's and B's. That's mostly because she is very motivated most of the time, and hates just laying around for long periods of time. She likes to be up and about, whether it's doing something productive or something not so productive. She loves playing RockBand and video games, so I guess you could say she's a bit of a nerd sometimes. Oh, and once Josey starts on a project, she usually doesn't stop until the project's finished.
Another thing about Josey is that she really doesn't care about what others think of her and her decisions, except for maybe her closest friends and her boyfriend. She can dress in bright clothing, and everyone could be staring at her, and Josey wouldn't feel the least bit uncomfortable. Josey considers everyone's opinion, and doesn't make judgments based on people's opinions. She also doesn't judge by people's appearances, living by the statement 'don't judge a book by it's cover.'
Lastly, Josey is very fun to be around. She's usually extremely hyper. She's very athletic, and loves to move around, no matter what she's doing. Jose is very sweet and friendly to just about everyone, and she will continue to be nice to you until you're mean to her.
[Long before little Josette was born, her mother, Christina, lived in Wales. She'd moved there because of her job in the navy, and while stationed at the base there, she met a man named Richard. They started dating, and eventually got engaged. Soon, Christina was pregnant with baby David. With Richard at her side, it was an overall smooth delivery. Christina loved little baby David, and a couple months later, Christina was pregnant again. Of course, this time was actually an accident. Another nine months later, Hannah was born. With two little children making her life busy-busy, Christina rarely had time to be intimate with Richard anymore. This bothered Richard, and he soon began to cheat on Christina with her best friend. Well, ex-best friend.
Christina finally find out a year later, and immediately broke off her engagement to Richard. And ever so conveniently, Christina was shipped back to a base in the United States, close to her hometown. She was more than glad to be back home, and even ran into an old ex-boyfriend from high school. Except now, he was married. Christina began to spend time with her ex-boyfriend, and in the process got to know his best friend, Joseph. Joseph loved little David and Hannah, and in return the two little tykes loved Joseph. As Christina spent more and more time with Joseph, they both began to develop feelings for each other. Soon, they were dating. Christina would occasionally leave Hannah and David at home with their grandmother, Elizabeth, to go out with Joseph.
It was like deja vu when Joseph proposed to Christina. And just like deja vu, Christina accepted his proposal. The only difference was that Christina was positive Joseph wouldn't cheat. He was just too sweet and genuine. A year later, they were married. They were happy, and with little Hannah and David not so little anymore, Christina felt a longing for a third child. Joseph and Christina tried for a couple months before Christina got pregnant with Josette. Now, Christina was completely and 100% happy. And for a year or two, it stayed that way. That is, until Christina went to the doctor and received bad news. She was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Despite her sickness, Christina was chipper and determined as ever. She put on a happy face for her children, but Hannah was already starting to slip into a depression, knowing what was coming soon. And come, it did. October 4, Christina passed away. She just couldn't fight the cancer. Not able to spend much more time in the house that had once been graced with Christina's presence, Joseph moved his family into a slightly bigger house in a friendly neighborhood just outside of town. Of course, no one was really the same. Hannah was just a bit quieter, and David cut himself off from the family. Christina's mother, Elizabeth, got a cat to spend her time with, trying to keep her mind off the loss of her daughter.
Josette grew up to be a happy child, although she always cried constantly when October 4 rolled around. Eventually, Hannah began to cut herself off from the family as well, getting into many heated arguments with Joseph, always reminding him he wasn't her real father and how much she hated him. One particular night scarred little Josey. When she was only eight years old, her sister started PMSing and naturally, the yelling only got worse. One night, Hannah started yelling and screaming her usual rant, saying how much she wished Joseph had died instead of Christina. Josey broke down into tears, listening silently while Joseph yelled back at her. Hannah was so angry, she picked up a pillow Christina had made for Josey when she was two and threw it out the back door. Now Josey was really upset. She started yelling and screaming through her tears, and Hannah was overall hurt. Of course she loved little Josey, even if it didn't show. She went outside and got Josey's little pillow, and even offered to wash it for her. But Josey wasn't done. She started yelling about how she was sick of hearing Hannah get angry over everything, and Hannah just got angry all over again. She even threatened killing herself. "MAYBE I'LL JUST KILL MYSELF! WOULD YOU LIKE THAT JOSEY?! I BET YOU WOULD." The words echoed in Josey's little ears, and luckily, Joseph took the knife that Hannah had been holding in her hand.
Hannah eventually calmed down, and began to take medication and therapy for her anger management. But what she didn't tell anyone was that it wasn't the meds or therapy that helped her calm down. When she was fifteen, she started smoking. Josey began to shut Hannah out, getting out of the house whenever she could to go to her friends' houses. It wasn't until Josey was in the eighth grade, age 13, that she really started to hang out and talk to her older sister again. Hannah still smoked, except it wasn't secret anymore, since she was 19 and legal. Though Josey constantly whined and complained about not wanting to lose Hannah from lung cancer, Hannah ignored her. She was stressed and smoking was the only thing keeping her sane.
And she especially needed it when Elizabeth, Josey's grandmother, had a stroke. Everyone was on edge for a couple days, and eventually the family decided that letting her go was the best decision. March 23, Elizabeth passed away. Josey was only 14 at the time, and absolutely devastated. Hannah and Elizabeth were the closest things she had to her mother, and now Elizabeth was gone, too. Josey put up a mask, faking happy so she wouldn't worry anyone. She figured it was better than sulking 24/7. But soon it wasn't as fake as it had been before. Sophomore year her whole life was flipped upside down. Hannah had been having quite a few breathing problems, and her lungs were beginning to fail, with all the smoking. A couple months into Josey's sophomore year in high school, Hannah passed away. Josey stopped masking her depression, not even bothering anymore.
Eventually, Josey broke through the depression. She got over it, for the most part, and began to shape back into her old self. By her senior year, she was the Josette everyone had grown to love. She joined Radio Bye Bye on tour as their merch kid, leaving her old life behind."

(; and i'm pretty glad i did. here's an example of mah skillz. (:lissy hadn't slept very well that night. her body had been exhausted and so worn out that she hadn't been able to move. her mind, however, had been racing at a million miles per hour. she'd been completely comfortable, laying in devan's arms with her eyes closed. but with her period being five days late, lissy found herself unable to sleep. she was practically sweating at the thought of her being pregnant. she couldn't be pregnant... could she? well, of course, it was always a possibility, but her and devan had been careful. devan had worn a condom, and lissy had noticed the warning about them not being 100% effective, but didn't the whole 'condom breaking' thing only happen in movies? lissy stared at the inside of her eyelids for hours, trying to make sense of her thoughts and not cry from just the very thought of being pregnant.
devan was fast asleep only a few minutes after the two laid down. lissy, however, didn't fall asleep until about four in the morning. to add to that, she was awake by noon. nick and devan were just waking up as well, so lissy quickly made a small breakfast for the two. she almost insisted on not eating herself, mostly because she felt too nervous and sick to her stomach. but nick was always worried about lissy's well-being and of course, devan was too now. so after a bit of arguing and them pretty much teaming up against her, she fixed herself a small plate of eggs and a piece of toast. then, after that, nick and devan tried to get her to watch a movie or something with them, devan looking like he was afraid to let her go. it took lissy nearly a half-hour to reassure devan and nick that she would be back soon and she just needed a little girl time with atty. but eventually lissy was on her way down into the parking garage underneath the apartment building, and then to the happy harry's down the street.
it was only slightly awkward to walk into the drugstore and buy a pregnancy test. no, scratch that. it was extremely awkward to walk into the drugstore and buy a pregnancy test. a couple people stared at her as she tried to figure out what brand of test to use, though someone had tried to help her decide, using their own experience. lissy had thanked the kind lady, more than grateful for the help. she doubted that atty had ever taken a pregnancy test, so she probably didn't know much about which ones were normally known for accuracy, and everyone knew lissy couldn't ask her mom for advice because her mom would completely freak out at the possibility of lissy being pregnant. hell, lissy was freaking out at the possibility of her being pregnant. she was only twenty-one, and as mature and grown-up she acted most of the time, she was still considerably young and had a lot of life to live.
lissy got out of the drugstore as quickly as possible, and was soon on her way to atty's house. on her way, she played music in the car, mostly that of go radio, which had become one of her favorite bands within the past couple weeks. lissy kept taking deep breaths, trying to keep herself calm and keep the tears away from her eyes. no, she wouldn't cry or completely freak out unless she really was pregnant. which, she wasn't, right? the chances of the condom breaking and her being pregnant were slim. as she pulled into atty's driveway, she stayed inside her car for a few minutes, listening to the rest of the song. lissy kept up with the deep breathing, still attempting to calm herself down. within the next twenty minutes, she would know if she was pregnant or not. lissy wasn't even sure if she would tell devan and nick about the scare if she ended up not being pregnant, though it felt like if she didn't tell them they would find out eventually. but lissy didn't want to worry devan and nick about her pregnancy scare if the test turned out negative.
eventually, lissy got out of her car and walked to the front door. the bag dangled from her hand, her fingers gripping it tightly. she knocked on the door a couple times, but didn't wait for adam or artemis to actually answer it themselves. artemis was practically her sister, and both were pretty much used to lissy knocking a couple times and then just walking in. lissy stepped inside the house, closing the door behind her. "atty? attyyyyy..." lissy called her best friend's name several times, trying to keep the shake out of her voice. she finally found atty in the living room, playing a video game. "hey." she said quietly, sitting down on the couch next to atty.
